We are so honored that you’ve chosen Once Upon a Time Parties D.C. for your next event!

All parties and events are reserved on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We recommend you book your event at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure your character & time slot. A client’s performer/character request is based on the availability of the performer/character and is not guaranteed.

COVID-19 POLICIES:

(Updated January 2021 & subject to change depending on state guidelines) For all events happening after January 1, 2020, all of the following guidelines and protocol must be met and understood in order to lower the risk of contracting or transmitting the novel Coronavirus. Lack of adherence to the below-stated policies will result in our cast members leaving your event. In the event of this breach of contract, no refunds will be given, as safety is our top priority.

  • We request that events be held outside whenever possible. If your event cannot be outdoors, please let us know. In this case, we require a large indoor open space that allows for social distancing. Our cast members will do their best to maintain social distancing guidelines, so please ask your guests to do the same.

  • Mask usage is at the client’s discretion for our 15 minute social-distancing porch visits and is required for all indoor events. We’ve ensured that our characters have high-quality masks that match their costumes & fairytales- this also allows children to understand that mask usage is an easy way to show kindness and be mindful of the people around us! 

  • Prior to your event, please confirm with your guests that they are in good health and have not been experiencing any symptoms of the virus. We screen all of our performers for COVID symptoms before we schedule them for work.

  • Contact will be minimized at parties. While we do love warm hugs, our cast members have been instructed to use minimal forms of personal contact, including limiting hugs that are at a face to face level with your kids. We also ask that you have children wash their hands before our cast members arrive.

  • In addition to our normal cleaning of costumes and wigs, all of our party supplies will be sanitized and cleaned before events.

  • By agreeing to our policies, you hereby state that you understand the risk associated with hosting an event during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once Upon a Time Parties D.C. holds no liability for any deviance of CDC and Virginia state guidelines outside of or immediate control. We cannot be held accountable for any health-related issues that may occur after your event, as we are in compliance with the CDC and Virginia state guidelines for handling business activities in the wake of COVID-19.

  • Once Upon a Time Parties D.C. cast members reserve the right to leave an event if they feel their health and wellness is endangered for any reason. Refunds will NOT be given for events that do not comply with the above guidelines and/or endanger the health of our cast members. It is your responsibility as a party host to make sure your guests are compliant as well, including but not limited to: wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands, monitoring for symptoms, etc.

PHOTO RELEASE POLICY:

We love to see our performers making your child’s dream come true! After your party, please send us your review on how our performer(s) did as well as any photos you took at the party/event. We would love to see them! Any photos you choose to send to us are signed as the release to be used by Once Upon a Time Parties D.C. for website, social media, and promotional use. You and your child’s personal information will never be shared.

We do not offer any licensed or copyrighted characters. It is not the intention of Once Upon a Time Parties D.C. to violate any copyright laws. Our characters are based on fairytales in the public domain. We only accept bookings from clients who understand we do not offer any licensed characters.
